| St. Peter routed runner-up Forest 9-1 Sunday to win the second half and title of the East Shore League on the season's final day. Grant Berkovitz homered and Drew Powers won on the mound as St. Peter finished 6-1 in the second half to outdistance Forest and Mt. Calvary, both 5-2. St. Peter also won the first half, at 7-0. Against Forest, Paul Heinkel and Jon Pitzen had two hits. Gary Goebel and Clay Loehr had two hits for Forest. |
